Irene is an experienced trial attorney with over a decade of family law experience.  Irene focuses her practice on child welfare law, including dependency, adoption, child custody, and child support matters.

Irene was named as a Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2019-2021, an honor reserved for 2.5% of attorneys in Pennsylvania per year. Ms. Levy was also named as a Top Lawyer in Mainline Today in 2018.

Throughout her career, Irene has worked to ensure the best interests of both parents and children are protected during times of family disruption. Ms. Levy is well versed in child development and familiar with various types of assistance available for families in difficult times. This knowledge allows Irene to guide her clients to the best resolutions for their families, both in and out of court.

Irene currently serves as appointed counsel in Philadelphia Court for parents and children involved in dependency proceedings. Irene formerly held a position as a parent's attorney and Guardian Ad Litem in Chester County Dependency Court. Ms. Levy is the founding member and former chair of the Chester County Bar Association Dependency & Juvenile Section.

Irene began her legal career in 2003, when she attended Manor College and later Widener University's Legal Education Institute to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies.  During this time, Irene worked as a paralegal at several law firms.

Following her undergraduate studies, Irene attended the Evening Division of Widener University School of Law for her Juris Doctorate.  There, she was awarded the law school's Presidential Scholarship and the Widener Law Merit Scholarship.  Irene graduated Cum Laude from Widener and was named to the Dean's List.  During her tenure at Widener, Irene served as the Manuscript Editor for Widener Law Review and as an intern for the Delaware Civil Clinic, a school-sponsored organization that provides pro bono legal assistance to low income victims of domestic violence.

Irene worked as a secretary for President Judge Emeritus Susan Peikes Gantman of the Pennsylvania Superior Court while attending law school.  There, she learned to write judicial opinions under the tutelage of accomplished legal writers.

After law school, Irene was admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania.  Since this time, she has worked as an attorney in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas, including Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Bucks, and Lancaster counties.
